Wal has a very modern exterior with subtle gold signage, grey front and orange umbrellas. It feels more like a bar/pub than a restaurant especially with the dark interior.
This Italian restaurant was following Covid procedures via the installation of plastic screens, but the majority of diners were outside in the sun so we had the inside to ourselves.
I ordered a Chefs Salad with baked ham, cherry tomatoes, Chutney, mixed salad and pickled onions and local bread with house dressing (£10.95).
Everything tasted very light and refreshing so I really enjoyed it, however I didn’t appreciate the piece of rubber band I found in it.
My partner ordered the spiced Chicken Strips with skinny fries, aioli dip and BBQ sauce (£13.95).
He said he liked it well enough and that the chicken was meaty.
Wal was fine for a quick lunch in North Wales and it was reasonably priced with decent portions.
