Quick Review: Mollette at Eat Paradise in Kyoto Station, Japan

It was already late evening when I returned to Kyoto Station and found myself needing dinner, unfortunately most of the restaurants had closed by then and I found myself wandering through the Eat Paradise food court in Kyoto station.

Mollette was one of the few restaurants still opened and had no queue outside. It specialised in omurice or omelette rice, a classic Japanese dish popular with children.

Mollette was true to its name and was decorated like an old fashioned European cafe with fussy little curtains and french writing.

I had the standard omelette rice with tomato sauce for 1,124.00 JPY / 7.52 GBP whilst my boyfriend had the omelette rice paella taste with bacon and mushrooms for 1,350.00 JPY / 9.03 GBP.

It was fine.

Mollette will do the job if you are looking for omurice late at night and don’t fancy a queue, otherwise I’ve had better for a cheaper price.
