Quick Review: A few hours in Verstebro, Copenhagen

Verstebro was often recommended as a pretty cool and happening neighbourhood in Copenhagen, so I took a few hours to explore it on a Sunday afternoon.

It was okay.

Quick Review: A few hours in Verstebro

I mean I think it’s a pretty cool place to live in for a local with the unique wall art everywhere, but for a tourist there just wasn’t that much to see and there just wasn’t a lot of people around when we went there.

For example Vesterbrogade street was occasionally highlighted as a good place to start, but it wasn’t a paved street for people at all and was more recommended for a few cafes and shops that happen to be there.

Otherwise the main area of Vesterbro was a huge road.

I guess the local park was pretty cool with its castle like entrance.

But otherwise not much was there and we didn’t linger too long. We ended up leaving earlier than planned and didn’t end up exploring the Meat Packing District as originally planned.

I don’t think I’m being very fair about Vesterbro. The main issue was that I had expectations for the neighbourhood and I probably didn’t visit during its busiest hours, but if you just happen upon the area or want to visit a specific cafe then I’m sure it will be perfectly interesting to you.
